01How you're billed
Plans bill monthly in arrears. The base fee covers the included quota; overages bill at the per-1k rate listed for your plan and meter to the second. We invoice in USD, payable by card, ACH, or wire. Annual contracts unlock 15% off and convert to a single PO-able invoice.
Hobby and Builder accounts get hard caps on quota — calls beyond the quota return 429 quota_exhausted with a retry-after hint until the next billing period. Scale and Enterprise plans burst freely; we surface a forecast in the dashboard and email at 70 / 90 / 100% of the previous month's spend.
02What counts as a call
One recall is one POST /v1/recall request, regardless of how many memories come back. One ingest is one memory accepted into a namespace — bulk uploads count as N. Validity-window updates and contradiction-driven invalidations don't bill separately.

04Pricing FAQ
Do you charge for storage?
No. Up to 10M memories per namespace is included on every plan. Beyond that, we'll discuss pricing — but most teams plateau well below that ceiling because contradiction-driven invalidation prunes stale facts automatically.
What if I exceed Scale's quota?
You won't. Scale doesn't have a hard cap — overages bill at the per-1k rate. We'll email at 90 / 100 / 150% of the previous month's spend and freeze the bill if you tell us to.
Can I switch plans mid-month?
Yes. Upgrades pro-rate; downgrades take effect at the next renewal. Annual contracts can be paused (not refunded) if you spin down a major workload.
Is there a free trial of Scale?
The Hobby plan is the trial. When you outgrow it (around 10K memories), upgrade in one click — no credit card needed until your first billing cycle.
